How to make pale sims
5. Night, swim and formal wear:
Making night,
swim and formal wear is different depending on what Expansion packs you've
got installed.
If you're making the skin for The Sims (and Living Large and House Party
- what is called 'pre-Hot Date Sims') without the expansion packs that
comes with buyable wear, you have to make a skin set (see tutorial).
If you're making the skin for Hot Date, Vacation (and Unleashed I believe)
and your sims can buy night, swim and formal wear, you have to make buyable
skins (see tutorial).
These two methods are completely
different, and you won't be able to use a skin set with Hot Date or
buyable wear with pre-Hot Date Sims. In fact, installing a skin set into
Hot Date or Vacation can make your game crash. So be sure to choose the
right method.
Making a pale skin with just hands and nude assigned will
make the skin work with both The Sims and Hot Date, but night, swim and
formal wear will be light toned in The Sims.
